Couples Counseling & Therapy in West Omaha

My office is right here in West Omaha, tucked just north of West Center Road at about 123rd Street. If you live or work nearby, therapy can fit into a lunch hour or the drive home instead of eating an entire afternoon. I see couples, individual adults and families, and I’ve been doing this work for nearly three decades.

West Omaha is where a lot of daily life happens: the commute down Dodge or West Center, a workout at the Westwood YMCA, errands at Westwood Plaza or Oak View Mall. That routine is comfortable, and it can also hide the fact that you and your partner have quietly stopped talking about anything but logistics. If that sounds familiar, couples and marriage counseling is where most of my work begins.

Being close matters more than people expect. When the office is five minutes from home, you’re less likely to cancel on a rough week, and the rough weeks are usually the ones that count. A loop around the neighborhood or a coffee at the Scooter’s on West Center afterward is a decent way to let a session settle before you head back to work.

Not everyone who comes in is here about a relationship. Some people come because work stress has followed them home, or because worry has started running the show at 2 a.m. I offer stress management and burnout counseling and therapy for anxiety and chronic worry for adults who want practical tools, not just a sympathetic nod.

The office itself is small and quiet on purpose. You won’t sit in a crowded waiting room of a busy group practice next to someone from your street. It’s a comfortable room, an honest conversation, and a therapist who will tell you what she actually thinks. Think of it as a class about yourself, held a few blocks from home.

West Omaha questions

Where exactly is your West Omaha office?

12305 Gold Street, Omaha, NE 68144, just north of West Center Road near 123rd Street. If you can see Westwood Plaza or the Douglas County Election Commission building on Center, you’re about there.

Can I fit a session in around my workday?

Usually, yes. I offer daytime and evening appointments, and weekend times are available by request. Because the office sits about a mile from I-680, a lunch-hour or right-after-work slot is realistic for a lot of West Omaha schedules.

How quickly can I be seen if things feel urgent?

If you’re in crisis, I try to offer an appointment within 48 hours, schedule permitting. If you’re ever in immediate danger, call 911 or the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline first.

Also serving: Millard, Regency & Boys Town, Elkhorn, Papillion & La Vista, Ralston.
