Couples Counseling & Therapy Near Council Bluffs, Iowa

Plenty of people in Council Bluffs work in Omaha and cross the river twice a day without a second thought. If that’s you, a session in West Omaha can slot neatly into your commute home. You’re already on I-80; you just take a different exit. Evening appointments mean you can come straight from work, and the trip back across the river gives you a little time to think before you get home.
Council Bluffs is a community with deep family roots, from Bayliss Park downtown to the campus of Iowa Western Community College. Close families come with their own challenges: in-laws who drop by unannounced, adult children who need more help than expected, siblings who still argue like they’re twelve. Family counseling helps everyone say what they mean without the holiday table turning into a battlefield.
Couples come to me for all kinds of reasons, from constant bickering to the slow drift of feeling more like roommates than partners. Couples and marriage counseling is the heart of my practice, and if both of you want to work with me, we’ll start together.
Sometimes the hardest thing in a household isn’t a person at all. Living with ongoing pain or a chronic health condition wears on your mood, your patience and your relationships. Chronic pain and illness counseling helps you cope with what you can’t change and reclaim the parts of life you still can.

Yes. Sessions take place in person at my office in West Omaha. It’s a quiet, private space, not a busy group practice with a crowded waiting room.
