Therapy & Counseling Near Ralston, Nebraska

Ralston is a small city surrounded by a big one, the kind of place where you see the same faces at the Fourth of July parade every year. That closeness is a gift, and it can also mean you’d rather not see a counselor down the street. A ten-minute drive west gets you a quiet, discreet office without a crowded waiting room. Nobody needs to know where you’re headed after work unless you decide to tell them.
Some of the most important work I do is with people who have spent years being hard on themselves. If you second-guess every decision, apologize for taking up space, or assume everyone else has it figured out, self-esteem and self-worth counseling helps you treat yourself with the same fairness you give everyone else.
Close-knit communities come with close-knit expectations. Maybe you’re the one who always hosts, always helps and never says no, and you’re worn out. Codependency and boundaries counseling helps you set limits with demanding relatives, coworkers or friends without blowing up the relationship.
And sometimes it’s simply heavy. A long Nebraska winter, an empty house, a sadness that won’t lift. Depression and loneliness counseling is for the days when getting off the couch feels like a lot to ask. We’ll work on it together, one practical step at a time, drawing on tools like cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness that you can actually use between sessions.
Ralston questions
How far is your office from Ralston?
About 5 miles, or roughly ten minutes from the Ralston Arena area in normal traffic. Q Street and L Street both get you to 120th Street, which runs right up to West Center Road.
Do you see people who aren’t coming in about a relationship?
Absolutely. A lot of my work is with individual adults dealing with depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem or difficult people in their lives. You don’t need a partner in the room to benefit.
Can I come straight from work?
Yes. I offer daytime and evening appointments, and weekends are available by request. The drive from Ralston is short enough that an after-work session won’t eat your whole evening.
